Other citizens come from two sources, the birth of children and the arrival of nomads, wandering groups who wish to join the city of the player.

Beer fanatic. Infuriatingly humble problem solver. Hipster-friendly troublemaker. Freelance tv specialist. They are born, grow older, work, have children of their own, and eventually die. Keeping them healthy, happy, and well-fed are essential to making your town grow. Building new homes is not enough—there must be enough people to move in and have families of their own. Banished has no skill trees.

Any structure can be built at any time, provided that your people have collected the resources to do so. There is no money. Instead, your hard-earned resources can be bartered away with the arrival of trade vessels.

There are twenty different occupations that the people in the city can perform from farming, hunting, and blacksmithing, to mining, teaching, and healing. No single strategy will succeed for every town.

Some resources may be more scarce from one map to the next. The player can choose to replant forests, mine for iron, and quarry for rock, but all these choices require setting aside space into which you cannot expand. The success or failure of a town depends on the appropriate management of risks and resources. There are eighteen different occupations that the people in the city can perform from farming, hunting, and blacksmithing, to mining, teaching, and healing.

Farm Together. Surviving the winters will be among your greatest challenges. Your tailors can make clothing, your people can build houses and burn firewood.

But necessities have a price — cutting down forests reduces the deer population you can hunt. Although your foresters can plant new trees, the cures for many diseases can only be found in forests that have existed for decades. Farming for many seasons in one place will ruin the soil. The good citizen Arthurman got lost chopping wood and cannot find his way back.

After several winters without food, he dies. Many players find it unusual that Banished isn't just controlled with the mouse. The camera turns and pivots using the keyboard. For many functions there are shortcuts on offer, which will avoid you having to click through several windows. Many a time you'll end up fighting with small buttons in lots of windows or can't easily find the individual buildings in the forest, let alone tell them apart.

Banished is beautiful to look at. Busy workers run across the screen, wild game crosses the river, and fishermen cast their rods. Added to that are the four seasons and your fields, where you can watch the rhythms of the countryside come and go.

Compared to this beauty, the few small bugs aren't so important. The soundscape, however, is only average, and after a few hours of playing Banished, you can easily do without the music. Banished is not a walk in the park. Without great help and lots of resources, you'll end up freezing to death in the very first winter. Gradually, however, relationships are better understood, lovely details are discovered and lots of chances to learn appear. Banished's challenging start is likely to suit experienced players but could cause problems for beginners.

The rough game mechanics suit the game objective of survival. However, if you're looking for familiar fare with multiplayer scenarios and established control, you won't find them in Banished. I love this game, its hard and it challenges you to think, to strategize, i think i have killd alot of my villegers with bad stratagie a few times tho ugh lol More.

The objective of Banished is to help a group of villagers who have have been banished from their native land survive.

The graphics a re pretty good and there are a variety of buildings, each with a different purpose, which can be used. The other good thing is that the game is realistic in some ways. Your aim is to keep them as happy and healthy as possible as they progress through life so that your city can expand. If you don't take good care of your citizens, you won't have any stable growth because people will die — that's why resource management is important in this game.

Don't worry though, as you're sure to get the hang of things pretty quickly. There's a lot of strategy involved in Banished, but it's not so complicated that it'll overwhelm you. Twenty different occupations are available in the game that can be assigned to various townspeople. This includes things such as mining, blacksmithing, hunting, teaching, farming, etc. There are lots of different options so be sure to explore all your possibilities so that you can get the most out of the game. It may seem like a nuisance, but that's part of the fun!

Banished is definitely one of the better city-building strategy games out there. Be sure to download Banished and give it a shot! I have long been a fan of city building, god sim style games so Banished was a game that I was very excited to finally get round to playing.

If you love watching a civilization grow and like to feel like you have a hand in helping them thrive. Banished could be the exact game that you are looking for.
